The 240 acre ranch has stunning views of the Wet Mountain Range and the prominent Greenhorn Mountain. Farther out are the Spanish Peaks before the glimmering Sangre de Cristo Range. The Graneros Gorge with its ancient cliffs rising 600 ft above the St Charles River is a sight to behold, a hidden gem which is hiking accessible from CPR. ( See description)

Our cabin is located on a scenic byway within the San Isabel National Forest at an altitude of 8600 ft. It is next to Lake Isabel where kayaking and fishing are popular in the Summer and Ice fishing snowshoeing and tubing in the Winter. You can explore nearby Bishop's Castle as well as enjoy hiking, bicycling or riding on one of the many trails. Wildlife viewing in the area is also plentiful. You’ll love our cabin because it provides the privacy and solitude of nature with the comforts of home.Learn more about this land:Modern cabin across from lake Isabel. This is a fairly new mountain home within the National Forest. There are three levels that can accommodate 4 guests comfortably in its 2 bedrooms, 1 and 1/2 baths and living area. There is also a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all the needed utensils. We have DirecTV, wifi and a landline phone available.

  • These doors are original to the home and designed by the artist. Within is a sunroom, which quickly became my favorite spot in the home.
  • When I walked into the cabin, I immediately noticed the banana bread, which was fresh baked that morning. This sitting area became the the center of the space, a beginning spot for meals and resting place for books from their shelf that I intended to read.

It took them several years to clear and build and you can see that their blood, sweat, tears, and love for each other and the land with every rock placement. You will be about 15 minutes from town, so not too far but far enough! The quiet here is crazy good, and the cabin is fully furnished with all the comforts of home.
