Greetings fellow adventure lovers!
Welcome to Verde River Vortex where we have Comfy Cabin Camping with access to tons of outdoor activities just out the back door. The Cabins are nestled around a patch of Bamboo and other high desert vegetation as well as a very rich cultural history with many Ruins and Other Native American Sights in the surrounding areas.
The Verde River is one of Arizona's only two Wild and Scenic Rivers, yet it remains relatively undiscovered as a recreational resource is within walking distance and offers endless exploration and water fun in the Spring and Summer Months! The road to reach us is breathtaking in itself with ancient Sinaguan Ruins and strangely beautifully sculpted landscapes along the River drive. Enjoy miles of forests, rivers, lakes, swimming, hiking, mtb, all near by and all while being comfy and cozy for a nights recharge to do it all again after a hot shower or Jacuzzi or our Absolutely AWESOME wood fired Sauna with Cold water dipping pool under the stars. Each Cabin is fully equipt (hot water/appliances/kitchen/bathroom/dishes) as an Adventure base during your stay providing a comfortable, cozy and unique location for couples or small groups/families to enjoy while adventuring and creating memories in the area. We provide various suggestions on local activities for our guests to enjoy as well as helpful tips to get the most out of their stay.

Visitors frequently mention the comfortable cabins, convenient location near outdoor activities, and the welcoming atmosphere created by both Jason and the surrounding environment. Loved our stay at Jason's place! The cabin was just what we were looking for- a low key simple stay. Although it was nestled in with other structures it was very quiet and felt private. Loved that we could walk right down the road to explore public land and river. Excellent host- great communication and wonderful suggestions for area hikes & food.
Jason is extremely helpful and friendly. Gave great ideas of where to go to make the trip with our family memorable. The cabin was as described and suited our family very well.
A little off the grid but happened to be just what we needed for a break from reality! Jason was VERY accommodating and friendly, from hiking and fishing recommendations to bites to eat he had it all mapped out! Most of the road is asphalt but does dip off into dirt so a decent vehicle would be best for the drive. A little bummed we didn’t get a chance for the hot tub, but the sunset/stargazing view from the rooftop patio was absolutely stunning ! Our pups also loved getting to meet Taisia the property pup!
Sweet spot to come home to after exploring! Hot tub and the most gorgeous starry sky are a nice bonus, and Jason is incredibly helpful with ideas of where to hike, eat, and adventure. Thanks for all the suggestions, Jason!
This was exactly what my husband, Dan, and I needed. It was a mix his birthday/our anniversary get away and it was STUNNING. So peaceful and relaxing. Jason was beyond amazing, full of great stories, advice on great places to visit and very accommodating. Best five days ever, we are definitely coming back again! We weren't even half way through our stay and Dan was already talking about when we could come back. If you book here, you won't be disappointed, far from it. Can't get over how amazing everything was, even something as simple as sitting on the porch enjoying some coffee and taking in the train in the distance from the train depot - that you can take on a tour ride! Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this place and Jason as a guide!
Amazing location- worth the drive- Outstanding suggestions from host- Feelgood rustic cabin close to Cottonwood and its fabulous restaurants- Would stay again- Host, Jason, is guide for outdoor travel Costa Rica- We will look him up if we travel there as he definitely has an eye for a good spot-
