Such an amazing place and stay. If you visit Mendocino this is a must stay. We have been here twice and it is great every time. Camping with just enough touch of convenience. Cabins are all beautiful and amazing, and the host is super friendly and does a great job making your stay wonderful.

Such a cute place nestled in the forest but still close to town. We used the campsite but the cabins looked so cute too. Bathrooms were clean and had hot water which is a plus when camping. My favorite part was taking a shower in the redwood tree. It was so so magical & special. Would definitely recommend heartwood to everyone & would come back again. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Super quiet and peaceful set up - the heated beds and clean, warm bathrooms are a huge plus! Super close to the town of Mendocino and great hiking.

Tent was comfortable. Nice bedding and the heating pad was much appreciated. I liked the separate building with an inside dining area. It was warm and had a hot water kettle and a toaster oven tables and chairs. There was also a refrigerator, a small sink and some board games.
The bathrooms were clean, heated and each had a modern shower with hot water. Outside was a dish station also with hot water.
My favorite amenity was the outside shower. It had really hot water that didn't run out in the middle of your shower.
There was a nice community fire pit where guests gathered and enjoyed the evenings together. Everyone was friendly and gracious.
There was no Wifi, but that's what we needed. I'd definitely recommend this Hipcamp.

Redwood Camp Site
This was my second time at Heartwood and I already can’t wait to go back! It was beautiful even in the rain, and the amenities make it stand out as a favorite getaway spot. Perfect Valentine’s day weekend!
