Pretty and quiet site on the edge of civilization. If your navigation guides you though several large housing developments, don’t panic (like we did). The last mile turns into a rolling country road through sparse residential properties.
The camp site is on the edge of a large property. The owners house is far enough and separated by a grove of trees that we don’t hear or see them. The site is next to a road, but there were no noticeable traffic - we didn’t notice the road until the next morning.
Host Cynthia is a delight. Chitchatted with us while we set up, told us about all the good hiking around.
If you’re looking for wilderness, this is not it. This is a quiet, private site surrounded by trees; nice spot for quiet cup of coffee amidst bird chirps in the morning, or gin and tonics in the evening, in between good hikes in the nearby state parks and BLM land.
