This land was originally a gold mine in the late 1800s that was then abandoned and later subdivided and sold off. This 10 acres was known as Gold Dollar #1, #2, and #3. There is currently an agricultural grazing lease on the property. The main minerals that can be found are quartz, pyrite and garnet.Pitch a tent and enjoy the beautiful views! This is the smallest and most secluded camp spot, on the back of the 10-acre property. This beautiful spot overlooks the valley and you can enjoy watching the sunrise. It is not suitable for a camper or pop up. A quick 7 minute drive to Cripple Creek where many tourist attractions await- mining tours, gold panning, gambling, restaurants, railroad tours and more; 10-15 min from several popular hikes, Mueller State and Dome Rock parks; 40 minutes from the Fossil Beds in Florissant and Wolf Sanctuary. Water can be hauled from a natural spring 2.5 miles away. Area wildlife includes bear, deer, elk, mountain lions and big horn sheep. Sorry, no campers/trailers or RVs. Expect to go down a steep graded hill that's inaccessible by car during snow season. Site is pot/420 friendly. Need more space? Check out Sweet Ass Meadow, our other site.

This was a beautiful and peaceful site, easy to get to while still feeling off-the-beaten-path! We stayed in the last weekend of September, we were a little nervous about how cold it would be but we got lucky with beautiful weather and the fall colors were simply spectacular all around the site. Would absolutely recommend as a weekend getaway.

Amazing Views
Tent
The site was absolutely beautiful. Upon arrival, there were cattle in the valley heading home for the evening. A blue jay kept us company along with a couple of squirrel. Peaceful and quiet. Just what we needed! Dogs loved it too!

I really enjoyed my stay at Serendipity Slope! It’s a beautiful and secluded site with a scenic valley overlook. Erica was a chill and friendly host, and the nearby natural spring near Victor was an easy and good source of water.

Views, plenty of room, and privacy.
Tent
This was our third year camping at The Lookout and it remains one of our favorite hipcamp spots in Colorado. There's plenty of elbowroom for our four shelters: sleeping-tent, kitchen-shelter, living/dinning-shelter, and bathroom-tent (we definitely pack heavy)...without feeling crowded in at all. It's surrounded by a delightful stand of aspen with no other campers or homes in sight. And, the view over the valley is really quite lovely for breakfast in the morning and campfires at night. We look forward to our next long weekend there.
