Our campsite is nestled in mixed northern hardwoods and conifers with over a dozen species of trees around the camp area. The site is graced by a large old Oak tree and many larger Maple and Birch making it a well shaded site and protected from wind. A wildlife pond is near the tent sites which hosts frogs and turtles and an occasional passing beaver, otter or muskrat. Deer and Turkey are frequently seen and the area is on migration pathways for Raptures and many songbirds.
The site is a few hundred feet from the Northwest corner of Farmers Block Road and is an ideal base camp for biking, hiking, paddling and fishing adventures in Keweenaw County.
Only one mile from Lake Superior and the Gratiot River - many outdoor activities are easily accessible.
Additional flat tent site undeveloped are close to the site if you have a larger group and need more tent pads let us know and we will try to accomodate you.2 generous tent pads are located within the site with cedar bark mulch bases capable of holding one large and one medium sized tent. The fire ring, picnic table and cooking shelf are within 50 feet of the tent pads and parking is available for 2-3 vehicles within 30 feet of the tent pads. The tent sites are well shaded and not visible from the main road.

Great directions to fabulous property. Site was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. Hosts were kind and came to warn us of rain. Very nice tables and bench. Fall colors were amazing.

The perfect place to camp in the Keweenaw. A great location between main towns and lake shore. Plenty of space and nice spots for tents and hammocks. Nice fire area and seating. Bugs were surprisingly minimal. Outhouse was so nice! Ray and Viki are such good people and were so accommodating. Highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

Raymond and Viki have set up a wonderful site for anyone looking to camp in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. There is easily room for 3 tents if needed and they are very kind hosts who provide free water and occasionally firewood for campers which is great if you're traveling long distance. The site itself is very private and tucked into a copse of oak and birch trees.
