Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Suitable for 4WDs only, this campsite is located on a beautiful cattle farm with rolling green hills, please be aware that we don't mow or slash the paddock, so the grass can get very long. Get lost on this 70 acre block in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland 15 mins from the tourist town of Maleny. Paddle in the shady creek or hang out with the local cows. This campsite suits self-contained campers with own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. The Crohamhurst State Forest is located nearby for a great bike ride or perhaps you'd like to hike or sightsee at the nearby Glass House Mountains. For those after fishing and watersport adventures, the coast is just a short 30 minute drive where you will find the sparkling waters surrounding Bribie Island and local beaches. Creek Flat offers a serene and private camping experience with plenty of space to spread out and explore. The tranquil site is ideal for those looking to enjoy nature's company, with visits from curious cows and the sound of a nearby creek adding to the charm. However, the long grass, particularly after rain, and occasional cow dung might not be for everyone. It's best suited for those with a 4WD, especially during wet conditions, to safely navigate the slippery tracks.

Private & lush

Lovely stay at Creek Flat - very private, lots of room to spread out and explore. Some of the creek was quite stagnant, but there were some beautiful deep swimming holes in the more flowing and running areas. Long grass all around, but it didn't bother us. So many sedge frogs, marsh frogs, cicadas, monarch butterflies, dragonflies, and cute spiders!

Great getaway

Such a good spot to sit back and relax in nature. Easy to find on the road with the sign at the gate. X-trail got us in and out no dramas. Little creek running through the paddock with lovely shade, was a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Not too much shade out in the paddock on the camping ground flat area.

Very slippery when wet.
13 ft pop-up camper · With kids
The track down to the flats becomes very slippery when wet. We had driven a long way, and did not know that the district had lots of rain. The track was so slippery that we skidded out of control down the hill. More rain was forecast, so we immediately left; we just managed to get out. One 4WD vehicle needed to be winched out. Sure, this is a farm, but there seemed to be considerable areas with cow dung, and not many areas suitable for camping.

Nice spot, great that we had the whole place to ourselves. We went on the back of a really wet month & week so I had no expectations of a dry site. Ground was firm where we picked. The only suggestion I have to anybody coming is to pack a brush cutter with you (I know I will for next time) even if you don't need it, best to have it on this site.
