Vicki's property was a dream. The land itself was very well-kept and spacious. You weren't too close to other campers and when I did run into other campers, they were very respectful and courteous. The noise policy was abided by all. I felt like it was just me and the trees (and my dog). Who was also allowed off leash!! Percy enjoyed it very much.

This place is a hidden gem! We booked a night for glamping by the pond and it was more beautiful in person than in the photos. Very quiet and felt like we had it all to ourselves. The boat was provided to paddle around the pond and got to see their chickens and other birds while also picking incredibly sweet delicious orange-sized tangerines ! Might go back just for those alone!

We had originally booked a campground down in the valley and it was so loud and crowded. We were stressed out. So I quickly looked up a better option on Hipcamp and Vicki responded to my message instantly! That was such a blessing! I was able to book Right then and go up the mountain to paradise. My son said it was like moving from a favela to Beverly Hills. LOL Everything was great about our stay. Awesome customer service. Peaceful environment. Big shade trees. State park just 2 miles away with great hiking trails. I will 100% stay here again.

Gorgeous place and everyone was super friendly. Our German Shepherd puppy made friends with the local dog Solo and they had so much fun playing together that we ended up staying an extra night. The road up is pretty rough but if you drive slow and take your time it’s totally doable—even with an older car. The view next to the house is unreal in the mornings and the sunsets are stunning too. Will definitely be back soon!

Stayed here for 3 nights and loved everything about our stay! Clean bathrooms, hot and cold outdoor showers, fire pits, and the tent was really well made with a comfortable bed. I would take a few extra blankets because the nights definitely get cold and would also recommend taking your own wood for the campfire. I'll definitely be back here in the future :)

We loved camping at the Harrison Serenity Ranch! It is a beautiful property with amazing views, lots of trees and wildlife, peace and quiet, flat camp spots with tables/chairs/fire rings, and nice bathrooms and showers. Great base camp to explore the surrounding area, including Palomar state park and the observatory. The bumpy dirt road up the mountain takes at least a half an hour but it’s well worth it.

We live in Oceanside and this is super close and easy for us to get to. The place is a neat mountain top location with forever views. The road is a tight twisty road taking you up, but any normal car can make it. I wouldn't drag a trailer or an RV over 24' personally. But for a quick easy star session or a chance to get the dog and kids in the dirt, it is great. They have fire rings and wood, although in summer months this may be limited due to fire risk. But here in April it was good. It got into the high 50's and we were very comfortable with 70's during the day. There is water available, for washing and drinking I think, but I didn't drink. It has a horse camp feel and is spread out enough that you have space, but it isn't private as people will pass by on walks etc. It is dog friendly and we were able to keep our off leash 95% of the time. There is a few other local dogs and a cute pig that visit, but all are friendly.

Joel is a good guy. He is very accommodating and a pleasure to talk to. Site is eclectic, quiet and very convenient to area attractions, stores, etc. I booked another stay later this month. Slept great!

Our family absolutely loved the Robin's Nest! A safe and beautiful property for our kids to roam, and the Airstream was perfect in every way! My family and I kept commenting "they thought of everything!" From small touches like complimentary snacks, to clean and tidy spaces with all the appliances, kitchen items, and signage needed, the Airstream was an excellent experience. We also did the Farm Tour add-on with our kids, which was totally worth it - they loved it! They especially loved the tortoises, alpacas, and Bandit the farm cat! Kimber was a fantastic host, with spot-on communication and service. We would absolutely stay here again if we're in the area. Highly recommend!

This area is in a rural spot, but it has modern amenities, like running water and wifi. Jennifer was an amazing host, and she was helpful in getting me setup, despite dealing with a crisis of her own. Her team even helped me get a fire going so I could roast marshmallows. Full disclosure, there are permanent residents here who live in RVs on-site, so please be comfortable in that environment. The neighbors are respectful and keep to themselves. I would definitely come back again! It’s a wonderful location nearby state parks.

We had an amazing glamping experience for two nights with our kids (ages 15 and 11) and our small puppy. Shantel greeted us warmly upon arrival, ensuring we were settled in and had everything we needed. The tents and beds were incredibly comfortable, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The heaters were a lifesaver, especially with the chilly late March nights. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the essential amenities, making meal preparation a breeze. Our kids loved the hammocks and tree tents, and thoroughly enjoyed the nearby hikes recommended by Shantel. The evening campfire was truly magical, with the hosts generously providing firewood to get us started. We can't wait to return with a larger group of family and friends!

The pool is shared, we live on the property across an easement and we have other rentals on the property. There is total privacy at the YOME. Since their passing, the Stables have been managed by their son Scott Tynan. Our stables offer a clean and quiet place for horse owners to board their precious companions - short or long term - or to serve as a weekend getaway for a person or group of friends/riders. Each Boarding Corral has walking space, shaded corners, automated water feeders, soft dirt, partially sheltered sides and is in close proximity to a round pen, a small arena (turnout) and is encompassed by a small walking track. No two corrals are close enough to each other for the horses to interact, reducing the likelyhood of mishap from a neighbor. Each Weekender Corral comes equipped with the same as the above, excepting only the partially sheltered side panels, and are right next to where you will be parking your trailer or camper. Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on). **WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards. This is a historical property in campo California. A great old west town with an interesting history behind it. This particular property was where the Buffalo soldiers kept their working horses close to 100 years ago in what is now the last standing original buffalo soldier barn. Old artifacts and handmade tack can still be found in the giant rustic barn. The barn is now used to breed unique crossbred horses that have gained Note-oriety, and have been featured on the cover of magazines, including the Boot Barn campaign (who intend to use the barn in in future photo shoots) as well as use famous spotted horse, Confettis American Warrior in the next ad campaign being shot in Hollywood next month. We tried to keep the barn with its original charm and added some world class beautiful horses that are available for riding around the property and/or photoshoots during your stay for an additional cost. We have extra stalls available for people who would like to bring their own horses for a unique camping experience including riding your horse in Camp Locket and along the USA/America border wall. Lots of space for trailer and very secure stalls in the barn. We are just starting out doing this, but have the options of staying in a brand new shed yet to be converted, in the barn inside an old stall to have a real authentic experience where the soldiers used to rest or a tent overlooking the old historical barn and the fabulous horses (right now we have babies!). We have multiple cross fences fenced areas including stalls and areas for your dog but will need to discuss details beforehand. We are very pet and people friendly.
