Weekend Trip to Coleys Place

Loved to stay at this beautiful farm. Great location, view, communication. Brad is coming down the camping area to make sure all campers are all good. We enjoyed kayak, campfire and quiet relax time. That was prefect first family camping. Highly recommended and we are sure to come back again soon!

It is a nice property. The hosts are great people but wouldn't stay on a long weekend again, too many people for us and beside us we had a dog barking continually which wrecked it for us. Not taking anything away from the property.

Weekend Trip to Coleys Place

Such a peaceful area to camp, we loved our stay at Coleys place. It’s a good idea to bring some levellers if you have a rooftop tent as the land is on a bit of an angle but nothing major, there are a few flat camp spots but they were already taken by other campers so just incase you get there late like we did. The view looking out over the damn is so lovely and watching the dogs swim and have a great time. There’s plenty of free firewood to go and find as well which is a bonus. We will definitely be back 👌🏼

Just a couple of nights for us tenting here at Ruby Rest. Setting up amongst the trees and rocky outcrops, perfect for a nice campfire. Day trips to Girraween and an apple picking experience. Super serene evenings looking at the stars and campfires from other families around the paddocks.

Weekend Trip to Ruby Rest

This was our second time camping at Ruby Rest and this time we brought friends along too. We looove the space. Lots of flat ground for tents and ample, comfortable space for campervans as well. When we weren’t out hiking in Girraween or Bald Rock national parks, we took some beautiful walks around the dams atcthe property and enjoyed the sight of horses, cows and buffalo. There is access to two showers and a toilet, and the most we had to wait to use either of those were a few minutes. Hot water never ran out and the host, Kendall seems to always be around to help or to answer any questions. I’d recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay somewhere in the vicinity of Stanthorpe!

Weekend Trip to Hillcrest 1876

Such a beautiful open space to camp. Family and dog friendly; we absolutely loved it. Our hosts, Kerri and Paul, were extremely welcoming and kind- they gave us some local advice on events happening in town, and spoilt the kids with a ride on the tractor. The spots are well kept, and enough shaded areas to spread out- the hilltop was a highlight with a great view. Great stay, will be returning!

Weekend Trip to Hillcrest 1876

We attended with 4 other families for the Easter long weekend. We woke up to beautiful sunrises over fields of sheep and cows, with the tranquil sounds of birds chirping. Through out the day we explored the property and nearby towns. There was plenty of space for adventurous children or a quiet hideaway, even on a busy Easter weekend. The afternoons were bliss with picturesque sunsets as we played lawn games and enjoyed a beverage by the fire. Paul and Kerry were absolutely amazing hosts, very kind and accomodating people. They welcomed us upon arrival, delivered firewood to our camp site and provided information on nearby attractions. Our children enjoyed tractor rides, feeding the sheep and one day old lamb cuddles. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and cannot wait to return!

4 nights at Hillcrest 1876

Staying on the Hilltop at Hillcrest 1876 was a lovely spot creating a relaxing long weekend. We had a beautiful, uninterrupted vantage point looking over adjoining farmland. Our hosts Paul & Kerry were super friendly checking in to make sure we were comfortable and was there anything we needed. It was awesome to have our pups with us and excellent spot for walking them. Not far from home and will definitely be back!

We loved camping at fig tree, so beautiful. Ruth and Ken were both very welcoming and the amenities were lovely. We will definitely be back.

Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm. We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park. Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied. We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask. We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag. We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

Steam Train Journeys , half or full days, We have an amazing motor sport venue which holds meet every weekend, cars bikes, vintage, minis, Porsche's, you name it they race it every weekend. You can also bring your horse/s on planned events and ride through the paddocks and hills of Callemondah Farm. The farm is a scenic mixture of wide open grazing fields and areas of native bushland which features native bird life and wildlife such as cockatoos, black cockatoos, galahs, crows, mapgies, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and more. The Rosenthal creek meanders through Callemondah Farm which is very beautiful and makes for a lovely walk or to sit beside and create a painting. There are 4 main camping areas, The Forest Camp, The Creek Camp, The Mountain Camp and The Overflow, each offering something different. We have smaller sites, suitable for a couple, a family or a few friends through to larger sites for groups and all sites have been levelled for a comfortable stay. We cater for all forms of camping including tents, camper trailers and caravans. The campground is accessible by 2WD and 4WD vehicles and firewood, ice and drinking water is available from our office. We are only a 30 minute drive to many local attractions located around Stanthorpe and Killarney. We are a pet-free campground.

Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

The 4 Camping areas are: * RIVERSIDE.. 10 level camping sites are available, suitable for single campers, or family groups, right beside the Condamine River * RIVERCAMP another area of mostley level dispersed sites are avialable in close proximatiy to the River, scattered around the trees, and the Dam, but still having direct access to an open section of the river bank, for swimmimg, fishing or Kayaking * MIDCAMP.. 7 level sites approximatly 200 meters up from the Comdamine River, and overlooking (and access to) the rivercamp, surrounded by mature "Iron Bark" trees and grassland, Plus several more dispersed sites, suitable for all types of camping from Vans to Tents. This area also includes a small number of powered sites * TOP CAMP.. This open area is approximately another 150 metres up the hill from from midcamp, overlooking both Mid & Rivercamps, with 360deg views, has 3 large flat sites. plus many more dispersed sites, also suitable for all types of camping vehicles *Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own. *Showers and toilets are situated within easy walking distance at all camp sites *Lots to see and experience in nearby Warwick and the Granite Belt.
