We spent 3 nights over Easter at Bindarah Down and absolutely loved our stay. Shane and Kim were warm, welcoming hosts. Shane shared a great overview of the property and its history, and told us all about the animals, including the beautiful horses, cows, and some very friendly dogs. The campground is surrounded by a stunning river, and we were lucky to enjoy perfect weather the whole time. Our son had a great time playing with other kids around the camp and down by the river, it was so nice to see him making friends and enjoying the outdoors. The peaceful setting, combined with the natural beauty of the property, made it a truly relaxing getaway. One small suggestion would be to add a table and chairs at the top of the hill, it's such a breathtaking spot, and it would be lovely to sit and take in the view for a little longer. Thank you, Shane and Kim, for a memorable stay—we’d love to come back!

Such a peaceful area to camp, we loved our stay at Coleys place. It’s a good idea to bring some levellers if you have a rooftop tent as the land is on a bit of an angle but nothing major, there are a few flat camp spots but they were already taken by other campers so just incase you get there late like we did. The view looking out over the damn is so lovely and watching the dogs swim and have a great time. There’s plenty of free firewood to go and find as well which is a bonus. We will definitely be back 👌🏼

We have many different sites to choose from, either right beside the creek, amongst the trees or in the open paddock if you need to charge your solar. Callemondah Camping is a new designated camping area that overlooks a picturesque waterhole and park like setting. There are fire pits to cook your food with and to have a campfire, just ask for a load of firewood or book it through Hipcamp here. We can hold and cater for functions such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Corporate Outdoor and Team building Functions. We do allow dogs that must remain on a leash at all times. You can also bring your horse/s on planned events and ride through the paddocks and hills of Callemondah Farm. The farm is a scenic mixture of wide open grazing fields and areas of native bushland which features native bird life and wildlife such as cockatoos, black cockatoos, galahs, crows, mapgies, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and more. A little further along you will find Girraween National Park renowned for amazing walks. Warwick Hosts the Biggest and Best Campdraft and Rodeo on the last full week of October (Covid permitting) as well as the quirky Jumpers and Jazz festival in July. Steam Train Journeys , half or full days, We have an amazing motor sport venue which holds meet every weekend, cars bikes, vintage, minis, Porsche's, you name it they race it every weekend. As well as many Equestrian Events, you can spend the day out exploring and then you can come back to your beautiful campsite, that is if you have not decided to stay relaxing and swimming for the day in the quiet watching the sheep and horses pass bye to then watch the Sunset and wildlife then look at the amazing night sky. We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)! The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Aloomba Lavender Farm

Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm. We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park. Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile. There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied. We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask. We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag. We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs. We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender. If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows. We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside. The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. A short drive across the border into Queensland will give you access to the Girraween National Park and a host of wineries, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. This camping property is large and you will find no better place that allows for gentle as well as more advanced walking, hiking and mountain biking. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality.
