Stunning Rockcliffe Vineyard

4 sites · RVs90 acres · Scotsdale, WA
The Rockcliffe vineyard was originally an apple orchard. In 1990, the first vines were planted, and in 2007 we built a "State of the Art winery", which is located on the property. Rockcliffe is now the biggest winery in the region. We sell wines all over the world and in Australia. We focus on producing small batches of high-quality wines, all of which can be tasted at the Rockcliffe Cellar Door. We welcome self-contained travelers to come and stay for 1, 2 or 3 nights maximum. On booking your site, you will either be amongst the vines on one of our levelled bays which are allocated on a first come basis. If all are full you can park your van either on the paddock across the road or at the rear of the carpark (below the gravelled bays). It is important you have your own toilet, as we do not offer facilities here. The place is very quiet, being in a rural setting, but only 4km from Denmark town. If you are a cyclist this is an ideal place to stay. We have a mountain biking track that goes around the vines, paddocks, and through the forests, all of which are part of the beautiful Rockcliffe property. The camping areas are a very short walk to the cellar door where you can taste all of our delicious wines or treat your children to Gelato and Fudge. We offer Cheese & Meat Platters, Pizza's and Fries. The kitchen is open from 12-4pm for lunch Sunday through till Thursday and from 1-7pm for lunch and dinner Friday and Saturdays.

Everything Horses Ltd

5 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Henley Brook, WA
5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse! A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking. We look forward to welcoming you to Everything Horses ltd where you can enjoy one of the last pockets of peace left in the Swan Valley area. We are everythinghorsesltd on Facebook with current uploads to see more of the property and animals here. You can choose either a secluded area to camp where you can surround yourself with natural bush, Yates, and Toolibut trees or a more wide open space where two or three caravans traveling together can park with plenty of room. There are walk trails to explore that meander through the bush, wetlands and paperbark thickets. Keep a lookout for kangaroos and bird life. For the 4x4 enthusiast, the 9 km track to Reef Beach is a challenge that will reward you with beach fishing and sand dunes to explore. If you prefer, you can set up camp near the camp kitchen. Chittering Acres

16 sites · RVs, Tents700 acres · Chittering, WA
We are closed until further notice while we deal with legal issues. Fingers crossed that we'll be back up and running by Easter '25. Cheers, Andrew. We live on a picturesque 700 acre property, high in the Darling Range an hour north of Perth. The property overlooks Lake Chittering with sweeping views to the horizon. The native bush here is typical of the Darling Ranges, featuring Jarrah, Marri, Wandoo, Xanthorea and Banksia. Fed by the mighty Brockman river, the pretty Chittering Lake is almost completely obscured by vegetation. The lake features lots of birdlife including swans, wood ducks, spoonbills and wedgetail eagles. The Chittering valley has much to offer including scenic walks and local cellar doors. The springtime is full of the region's wildflowers, and if you're visiting around October don't miss A Taste of Chittering, the food and wine festival showcasing local produce. We have a number of campsites on offer for your relaxing holiday.

Crossroads

12 sites · RVs, Tents120 acres · Kulikup, WA
Our 120 acres of hobby farm has about 50 acres cleared with the remaining still natural scrub and bush land. Our homestead and sheds are totally off grid being solar with battery and generator backup and rain water tanks. We run a small flock of sheep with the obligatory goat thrown in for good measure and crop the cleared land to feed the stock through summer. We have free range Geese and Guinea Fowl. A dam is situated in the bottom bush corner and another one has recently been built in one of the cropping paddocks. Depending on fire restrictions, quads and bikes can be ridden providing it’s with respect for stock, land and other campers and at your own risk. Dogs are welcome (and off leash) providing they are sociable, kept under control, don’t worry the stock and aren’t a nuisance to others. Current vaccinations and worming is required to help protect local farming, stock and working dogs. Introductions to our farm Kelpies is a responsible start as our kelpies have free range over our whole property. For those pooches that suddenly decide they can't contain their exuberance around stock we can supply long swivel chains or temporary use of our 20sqm dog run. The Blackwood River is a 15 minute drive where you can swim, canoe and waterski. Our property has a huge variety of birds, wildflowers and we even have Phascogales if you’re lucky enough to see one. Please note the nearest shops are 50km away but if you do forget something we will more than likely be able to help out (because my husband reckons I shop for Armageddon !) The quiet, the stars, the sunrises and sunsets will leave you wanting to return to our piece of paradise

Amber Ridge Estate

8 sites · RVs, Tents68 acres · Paynedale, WA
68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this small, isolated pocket. We have four sites available for self-contained campers, and one site that offers bathroom facilities. Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region. Redgum Hill Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting. Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you. Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Hidden Corner Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind. This site has no facilities. We are only approved for self-contained campers/vans. You MUST bring a toilet with you. Shed Pad with bathroom Shed Pad is a powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with bathroom facilities, including a flushing toilet. This site is relatively flat, perfect for a couple of tents or two medium/one large caravan. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. Please note, this site has a two-night minimum stay requirement. Base price covers two people.

Pets off leash camping in Western Australia guide

Overview

Hemmed in by beaches and turquoise waters, Western Australia is known for its coast, but the sprawling state has much more to offer. Venture inland to see deserts dotted with ancient monoliths and sun-baked vineyards; discover 19th-century gold rush towns; or hike through red rock gorges. Spring and fall bring the best weather for wine tasting or hiking through the national parks, while the summer heat is best enjoyed on the beach. Winter temperatures are still balmy enough to explore outdoors, with wildflowers blooming along the coast.

Perth

Perched along the Swan River and blessed with year-round sunshine, Perth brings the good life. In the city, wine tasting cruises, riverside barbecues, and parks will keep you outdoors, while the neighboring port town of Fremantle serves up beaches and ocean-fresh seafood. Holiday parks and camping sites dot the surrounding countryside, providing easy access for campers and caravans.

Coral Coast

The Coral Coast stretches north of Perth, from Kalbarri and Shark Bay to Coral Bay and Exmouth. Sand melts into turquoise waters; bands of coral teem with tropical fish, manta rays, and whale sharks; and Cape Range National Park’s rocky gorges snake down to the ocean. Outdoor adventures abound, from snorkeling and kayaking the Ningaloo Reef to bushwalking and beach camping.

Golden Outback

From Esperance on the south coast all the way up to Newman, the Golden Outback rolls out white-sand beaches, kaleidoscopic salt lakes, and rocky canyons. Whether off-roading in a four-wheel drive or winding through the outback in a caravan, there are ample opportunities for road tripping, with camping sites and holiday parks dotted throughout. Along the way, dive into Aussie’s gold rush heritage in Kalgoorlie and the Goldfields, walk Lucky Bay, and keep an eye out for wildflowers.

Margaret River

Rolling headlands, sloping vineyards, and seaside towns provide the perfect backdrop for wine tasting and coastal walks in the Margaret River region. Albany, Bunbury, and Bussleton are among the most popular places to stay, with access to the region’s many beaches, wineries, and camping spots.

North West

Dusty red desert tracks wind their way through the Kimberley region to Broome and Kununurra, where the vast outback is home to otherworldly scenery and rich Aboriginal heritage. Get a taste of Australia’s wild west out here—drive the Gibbs River Road, stopping to hike through ancient gorges, swim in remote waterholes, and enjoy campfires under the stars.
