It is located on 9 scenic acres that offers trees with hooting owls nestled in them, a tall bluff that meanders down to a long boardwalk that takes you through a cypress forest that ends at the Satilla River. At the river you can launch a kayack, drop a fishing line, or just sit back and watch nature or read a book. This cabin is off a 2.5 mile dirt road and 15 minutes to the closest restaurant and grocery story so expect to find peace and quiet and relaxation here. It is easy access with any vehicle despite the dirt road (which is county maintained regularly) and centrally located to Jekyll Island, Cumberland Island, Jacksonville, Brunswick and the Golden Isles. The boardwalk to the river is also a shared space. This cabin is shared with one other home on the property. The owners/managers also reside there and understand your need for privacy so they can be as hands on or hands off as you prefer. Fine spot, convenient to the highway when passing through. Great food across the street at Captain Stan's.

Campsite in center of town.
Tent · With pets
First we were sent an address and some questions about if we were on an RV or a tent. We were in a tent. Then we were sent a different address. When we arrived at the new address it was an empty grassy lot in the center of town. The restaurant across four lanes of traffic was the restrooms. Not acceptable. Called to tell her we couldn't possibly stay in this surrounding. Then we're sent back to the original address which is about 25 minutes away. We were told there is NO restrooms available at this location. We were left with nowhere to camp. Really need to have my money refunded as we didn't stay in either location.

Michelle's land was peaceful and she even started up the fire pit for us. My dog enjoyed the walks over the boardwalk to the river.

BBQ, a river, and some good folks
6 m campervan · Group trip
What a great place to crash! Basically an empty lot across from a legendary bbq joint, Captain Stan’s Smokehouse in a sleepy town that time forget. I used it as the first stop on my digital nomad journey, and the host was amazing, the people of Woodbine are an absolute joy to hangout with, and the countryside is just a slice of heaven!
