Murray Valley Camping

10 sites · RVs, Tents50 acres · Bunbury, WA
✨It’s camp fire season 🔥🏕⛺️ Come on down and relax with your friends and family by a nice, warm fire on these chilly nights 🥶. We’ve got fire pits at each sites and firewood for sale ($15 per bag) plus plenty to pick up around the sites✨ Murray Valley Camping features campsites that are completely open in nature. Each site is close to the Murray River and is surrounded by nature, so you truly feel far away from the rest of the world. The property is close to the famous Bibbulmun track, with Harvey and Boddington equal distances away, so options to explore the region easily. Campers can go for walks along the river, relax, and enjoy the sounds of nature. Throw your kayak in for a paddle. Throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. As the day slips away, catch a beautiful sunset, as you toast marshmallows by the campfire (outside of fire restriction times). There are no toilets or amenities, so all campers need to be fully self-contained in that respect, with their own camp toilet and water, and we ask you to take all waste when you go. There’s also little to no cell reception at the sites. There is background noise from the nearby conveyer belt that goes on and off randomly. Some people take it as soothing white noise while others think it’s overbearing. Pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friend along. Unplug from everyday life, escape and reconnect with friends and family in nature.

Nanga River Retreat, Dwellingup.

3 sites · RVs, Tents40 acres · Nanga Brook, WA
An important note before we start, due to the most recent dog attack, resulting in the loss of highly prized breeding stock, direct supervision will no longer suffice; Animal containment has always been considered a primary site rule, and now physical restraint is absolutely essential at all times. You can use leads, rope runs, portable yards, whatever you like, but dont let this old farmboy see your dog running around loose, especially with one of our poultry in its gob, it will not end well. If your dog doesnt like being contained, leave it at home. On a better note… Check out our new Facebook page at @NangaRiverRetreat! Now to the property description; We have a beautiful and secluded site to offer, right on the banks of the Murray River and deep in the heart of the Dwellingup State Forest. All bookings here are exclusive, so whatever pass-time you choose will be the sole theme of your stay. An excellent and inspiring spot for artists, with a hundred views worth capturing in any form from charcoal thru oil, to digital. Many wonderfully tranquil places to sit and ponder, draw, write, and wonder. Truely 'En plein air' Amazing birdwatching here, with highly populated tree lines and shrubby areas surrounding and throughout the property. Superb Star gazing opportunities too, with wide open and un-interrupted views of the night sky in every direction, from various vantage points available around this lovely 40 acres of beautiful river front property. Nanga River Retreat is an outdoor adventurer's dream, with truly wild forest country to be found between the property and the river in many places. 🌲 The heart of the last real Jarrah-forest is right here for you to explore, with canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, hiking, and biking all great ways to spend your time here. In fact, if youre into bikes, you'll be happy to know there's quite a few things around town to amuse you. Firstly, it's only 10 minutes to a great local skate park and pump track, one that lures riders of bikes n boards alike of every skill level and from all around. Its a family friendly arena and boasts a really good playground right there on site for the little ones (and right next to Way Points Cafe for the not so little...). A bit further out is the Turner Hill bike track, and of course from town there is local access to the world famous MundaBiddi trail. Also, and much closer to home, is the Murray Valley Trails Mountain-Bike Area, and as the crow flies its only around 2kms away. Western Australia's newest and best mountain bike trail area, with 35kms of single-track MTB trails, varying from Easy rolls around Lane Poole Reserve, to Difficult and fast black diamond downhill runs for those brave souls who dare it. Check out Murray Valley Trails online. If bikes are not your thing, or for anyone that just wants to tap into their inner primate, Trees Adventures Dwellingup is only a short drive over the hill (just 5.5kms from the gate) and is an incredible day out with the kids. Actually its an incredible day out for anyone with the rightly mixed senses of adventure and humour. This is a blast, its much more fun than it might sound like, and we highly recommend it! Dwellingup is known as 'The place that trails meet', and there is local access to a seemingly endless selection of walk paths, bridle trails, and bike tracks of every description. There's plenty an orienteering challenge that also awaits, 🧭 this is a perfect part of the scarp for those wandering souls who enjoy getting lost in order to find their way... We love all animals here at Nanga River Retreat and we'd love for you (by pre-arrangement please) to bring yours along. We enjoy an abundance of wildlife traffic through the property, and even have quite the zoo ourselves, with chickens and ducks, pigs and sometimes sheep to be found around the place. A couple of cats, some fish, all sorts... (dont forget to bring your little yellow bags please guys) We would love to see all the Witches, Wiccans, and various other Weirdos out there come on down, and we encourage you to book in for a spell. (pun intended) You'll fit right in. 🧙‍♀️ We invite discreet devotees of herbs, mushrooms, and all things magical to visit for a while, you will absolutely love it here, with privacy you just cannot get at the park 🤙 So beautiful people, come and find yourself, or maybe lose yourself, down by the river in Dwellingup, forget Camp Granada, (yes, we're that old...) forest getaways dont get much better than this one. So, social drinkers, social smokers, and all deep thinkers are definitely welcome, and when you get here, we can either mingle and chat, or your time and space can be your very own, that's entirely up to you, BUT! We dont want 'The Party People' here. Sorry. We dont need you to act Amish, within reason you can drink smoke sing celebrate, have your tunes, whatever, but this is the wrong venue for running amok. Loud drunkenness, anti-social behaviour, and rude misconduct will lead to eviction without refund, and reporting to Hipcamp. Also, and sorry about this one too folks, but no ripping around out here on anything with an engine. No off-roading. No motor bikes, quads, buggies, or any other form of self-powered transport in the dirt. In-fact while you're here, any sort of hooning on the property will lead to eviction without refund and reporting to Hipcamp. However all you mad mud mashers out there, for those that do want to go somewhere and get tractionally challenged, you'll only be a short drive from the famous Captain Fawcett 4x4 track, (about 1/4 hour away), and we are sure that down there you can get all the off-roading you want to, right out of your system! Check it out online. And of course there's hundreds of bush tracks all around here. So folks, the idea of this campsite and indeed of the entire property, is that it's intended as a tranquil and quiet retreat for those that wish it to be so. This is how we want it too, and this atmosphere of a quiet getaway must be observed by all comers please. Thanks for understanding. A small advice for those bringing children, in fact for anyone that intends to swim in or be beside the water, this is a wild and unfenced river access area and all care should be taken in supervision. Please see the site rules. One more thing, feel free to contact us via Hipcamp if you're interested in staying here but for some reason fall outside of the site parameters listed on this add. You might have a late arriver that needs to bring a third vehicle, your bus might be 1/2 a metre longer than the sites drop box allows for, or maybe you dont own a telly and have 7 kids you need to bring? Whatever it is, dont sweat it. Get in touch and run it by us, we're pretty flexible and in most cases will be willing to accommodate your needs. And remember, this is camping by the river, not glamping by the pool! We hope to hear from you soon, and we know you're going to love your stay whatever your endeavour while you're here. Kind regards, your hosts, Shane n Deeg. ✌️ 🙏 🏳️‍🌈 ps; we have developed a small welcome pack that includes a little disclaimer about us and this place, some things that we think you might like to do while you're here, and some local attractions that we reckon are well worth a visit sometime during your stay. It's just a few pdf's, and we'll forward them to your email as soon as your booking is finalized, or if you'd prefer we can print them out and supply hard copies. We hope they help you to plan your perfect stay here with us by the Murray. ✌️ Peace out, seeya soon, SnD

Killarney Farm

This property has been in the Shine family for many generations. The property has primarily been used for beef cattle farming, although in the early 2000's was shortly used to milk sheep, along with corn cropping. Currently the farm is home to roughly 100 breeders so you might be lucky enough to see a few cute little calves running around.

Blackwood Ridge Nature Park

4 sites · RVs45 acres · Bridgetown, WA
Blackwood Ridge Nature Park is situated on the Roebank property and as party of the first settlement in this area, both Roebank and the neighbouring Peninsula House have historical significance in Bridgetown. The Roebank Cottage was built in 1890 by the grand-daughter of John Septimus Roe who was a famous civil engineer contributing to the original town planning of Perth City and Roebourne. In the early days, Roebank was used for livestock grazing and had the largest shearing shed this side of Bridgetown used by the neighbouring farmers. Over the years the property has been used as a pear orchard, goat farm and other small farming activities. Today the property operates as a family hobby farm with short-stay accommodation along the river residences and nature park sites on the high points offering scenic views of the valley.

Busselton Semi Rural Convenienc

22 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Busselton, WA
****SUMMER - NO FIRES OR OPEN FLAMES WHATSOEVER!!!! I have a relatively attractive, quiet property with shady, mowed, relatively level paddock and easy access. The Property is located 5 minutes from Geographe Bay (1.5km as the crow flies) and 8 min drive to Busselton CBD and our infamous jetty. Busselton hosts a wonderful array of cafe's, bars and restaurants. Close by are magic beaches, caves and numerous wineries and breweries. Well behaved, non barking dogs permitted. Plse keep restrained unless in the exercise paddock, as a courtesy to other guests. There is a great pooch friendly fenced paddock where they can have a run, chase a ball without fear of running off. Also a smaller run. Plse pick up poo! NO CHECKINS AFTER 6.30PM unless previously arranged at time of booking plse. Guests MUST be fully self contained with their own toilet and shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. No dumping of waste (grey water is fine) on property. NO EXCEPTIONS, sorry. Please top up your WATER PRIOR TO ARRIVING....thank you. NO FIRES OR OPEN FLAMES WHATSOEVER during our summer shire fire restrictions season. Our neighbours value their homes. I welcome you to share my property and ask only that you treat it with respect and be considerate of others. No guests of guests allowed to visit. Apologies...no children due to having a dam. Wishing you safe and happy travels.. Sorry but NO GENERATORS please to reserve peace and quiet for other campers and any surrounding properties. There is no set check in or out time unless there is a site crossover day. I try to keep it as relaxing as possible but plse adhere to before 6.30 or advise time as it is disturbing not just for me but other campers. TIA. Entry is via the SECOND driveway on the right if coming from Busselton side, with green colourbond fence. After coming through gates swing hard left directly into the camping paddock. It is very easy access. Camp sites are designated with vertical tape on the fence and a number. Please park between vertical tapes on site number assigned. Please back into your site and park car across front of van in front, there is plenty of space (not on the side), to give you all plenty of room between vans. If it is holiday season I will allocate a camp site number, so plse ask if not sure. Off season pretty much camp where you like. Happy camping everyone, in my modest but convenient spot.

South Branch Ranch

2 sites · RVs, Tents11 acres · Bunbury, WA
NEWS UPDATE: the SBR now has toilet facility accessible 24/7 to campers. stay turned as we improve the SBR for all campers. The property is, as the name suggests, on the South Branch of the Collie River. The South Branch of the Collie River makes up the southern boundary of the ranch and is UN-FENCED and totally accessible to everyone on the SBR. The SBR is only small at 11 acres, but it does boast some unique features. Our only neighbour and at this time only fence line on our eastern boarder, the SBR is surrounded by the Australian bush. The beautiful river is the southern boundary and the northern boundary is only designated by the graded gravel roadway of Wolff Street. You can bushwalk, swim or have a paddle in the river while on the SBR. (NOTE: see SBR rules) You could try some hunting, for wild orchids that is, in the adjacent state forest. With clear access to the state forest for horse riding, mountain biking, and even motorbike riding. (ALL BYO, no Motorbike riding around the property) The SBR is pet friendly, with the agreement on booking that ALL dogs remain on a leash whilst on the SBR *see rules* due to the SBR having their own dogs. There is only a short walk to the state forest and your FUR KIDS run and walk unrestrained. We also allow horses on the property with horse yards to be supplied by the camper. Horses can only be ridden on the property's main thoroughfares to gain access to the state forest, which has an abundance of trails that can be ridden. The SBR is the perfect secure base to explore the many sites and tastes around the town of Collie and its surrounds. Collie has an outstanding MURAL ART TRAIL featuring the famous Wellington Dam wall art that has to be seen in person to be appreciated and more... The region has an array of beautiful lakes to choose from, with powered water sports on many lakes permitted, including water skiing. There is also the gorgeous “Black Diamond Lake”, which is power boat free, and Minninup pool for swimming. The SBR is almost all bush with some access ways to future camp areas and very rough tracks for walking. We love our bush home and are happy to share with you but, be aware this is the Australian bush and everything in the heart of the Australian bush you will find on the SBR, even those things that you don’t want to find. So most importantly, **see SBR rules** foot coverings will be worn at ALL times. The SBR is NOT a bustling commercial campground with strangers coming, hoons tearing through the area, or navigating a rutted track looking for an out-of-the-way camp spot, leaving ultra early to get the best spot just to find it taken by someone else. I was and still am an avid camper and I have experienced all of the above, that is why I opened the SBR to campers. The SBR is private property, with someone here on the SBR at all times. That in itself is enough to make most people relax and seriously enjoy EVERYTHING the Collie region has to offer.
